Considering in each language, every letters when they were invented would have represented a meaning is an interesting pointer of evolution for our religious pundits, who want to hold back our civilisation to some age old texts in the name of belief.
In the evolutionary process, letters lost the meaning to words and words became a subset in sentences under grammatically structured expression where sentences become an argument for a paragraph where paragraphs becomes a subset of an articulated position in a narrative or expression that explains a context or idea. considering every idea is a protest or an extension of an idea, a word, an expression , an argument , a position, an idea and its meaning have the shelf life only till the next idea or change come into the evolutionary process.
Change is a contextual negotiation where system respond to the situation that are temporary in nature. Since with every evolutionary modification system, situation and context changes for ever. Like zen says " you can never step into a river twice". So my dear religious pundits, please note there is nothing called eternal truth and meaning. Your age old texts, if they have any meaning, it has changed from the day they were written and they kept on changing through these thousand and odd years of human history and hundred and odd generations.
Don't tell us, those people whoever it may have written those text meant what you are telling me today. You don't know their meaning and we will never understand those meaning or at least It is an archaeologist's job not your perennial philosophy. ( or competitive philosophy smile emoticon )
